I just found this thread after searching for the same reason - I need some more Backgammon in Pittsburgh...

I couldn't find anything either and so started a group on Facebook and went out to search for people to get them to congregate in one digital place so that we may soon congregate in one physical place and play together...

So...

"This, selfish, group is being started to, firstly, collect more people for me to play Backgammon with. Secondly, as a place for those interested in Backgammon to learn more about it and how to play. Etc. Pittsburgh Backgammom players - let us find time to play each other and improve upon our skills in person - I am getting tired of the clicking, clacking, digital, lifelessness of playing Backgammon online. Know someone who is interested in learning to play or can play - invite them and let's get this going."
