How about live monitoring by a bot (GNU-bg could do it) and a report to both players at the end of each game the error rates. I don't think this error rate need be tallied for all to see, but certainly tallied and available to the (knowledgable) site staff. They could even head off cheaters before they were detected by individuals. It's important that the DISTRIBUTION of error rates be available, not just the mean. (In the latter case you just throw a bunch of matches to a friend by playing donkishly, giving you a "normal" mean.)
