IMO, this 2-away all cube can be (and often is) overdone. If someone REALLY studies positions in light of this matchscore (like Sho Sengoku did 2 or 3 years ago) then equity is available for the taking. But the best way to counter someone like Sho is to double at your first opportunity. The amazing thing is the most players don't, either out of ignorance or out of ego.

At this score and also trailing post-Crawford, I find being concerned with the cube as a distraction to my checkerplay. Get the cube out of the way and then concentrate on the checkerplay. That's a good general principle in problem solving -- simplify the problem. Makes sense to me at these special matchscores.
