Why is dmp so important?

1. It is often the difference between cashing or not.

2. The correct play at DMP is sometime different than at other scores, and you need to know these moves as they are important.

3. Pure checker play become more important.

4. I would guess that there is much more pressure on the match favorite, as it is now down to just one game for the match. I would not bet on any match to 21 with any of the Giants of Backgammon unless hugh odds were given, but would gladly bet with slight underdog odds on a one game match with no cube with any of them.
