Not trying to pick on you but since Chuck hasn't posted anything today have to pick on someone.

1. Breaking the 6pt costs Blue some gammon wins. For a score-based cube like this one, one should take that into account.

I would like a definition of 'some' as the gammons in this position are pretty low for both sides. Also, the gammon value at this score is hardly elevated.

...But if White may be forced to run from the midpoint next turn then breaking the 7pt becomes more attractive.

This is probably true, that it becomes 'more attractive', but you'd have to do some serious damage to the position for me to not break the six point instead of the bar point.
