The fact that the gammon value is not elevated is what I was getting at. It's a relevant fact that was not mentioned by anyone.

Before my last post, I did a short gammon go rollout and breaking the 7pt was close to breaking the 6pt (within 0.010). The difference in gammons is small but the difference in winning chances is also small between the two plays.
