I was going to say that if CMC does not adjust enough, he is not getting the maximum out of his edge.

I think what CMC is saying also has some merit. For example, you (Stick) mentioned the drop of a recube to 4 in MC. Given that, was your cube to 2 correct? Given that you are making these adjustments, what is your PR edge with these adjustments in place?! You (universal) can be internally consistent, with the PR edge assumed consistent with the adjustments in decisions based on the opponent. That is very difficult to achieve though.
