Having the anchor is good because of the race deficit, you'd like to have something long-term to play from. Keeping the 11 is good because it gives the most contact against the anchor, again useful when behind in the race. Keeping the 4 is also useful, so that our hits have meaning. Then only one play remains, blotting on the 7 as the least damaging to our position.
