Covering the six point will clearly give us some miniscule increase in wins and save a few gammons but also cost a few backgammons. Tricky to quantify, but since I suspect it might give away more backgammons than gammons saved, it seems prudent to me, at this score, to play 23/19. Then enough is enough, 13/10 to hopefully hit and cover with 22 and 42 next roll.
