A hit is surely compulsory here, and I'm with the switchers at DMP or for money. Even with a mountain to climb, if white does enter/anchor/counterplay I would rather that be on my 6pt than my 2pt.

Of course if White fails to perform right away it's more or less over anyway, but then too 6/2* 3/2 guarantees to clear the blot while the loose hit doesn't, and also allows for a cleaner bearoff than against a potential phantom deuce point.
