Perhaps I should rephrase? Most human beings enjoy interacting with other people if those other people are pleasant and friendly. For me, interacting with pleasant, friendly people is almost always a neutral experience, or perhaps slightly negative because it tires me out. The chances of social interaction being a "bonus" for me are probably less than the chances that I'd win the tournament.
