XG grading perplexity

Note that Xavier took this approach himself. Dissatisfied with Snowie ER, he did not make the mistake of trying to change the definition of ER, but created a new concept, gave it a new name, and argued that people should use his new concept.
And yet for all that newness, it's not so new, is it? Snowie had ER. So did GNUBG, using a different formula to calculate it. XG renames ER as PR and uses yet a third formula. But although the formula is quite a bit different from Snowie's, it is nearly identical to GNUBG's, other than the division by 2 so that XG PR approximates Snowie's ER range, instead of GNUBG's which never caught on among users.
