I figured White's position was basically a flat position wiht a gap on the 4-pt. A flat position wastes around 10 pips and I guessed the unfillable gap was worth about another 2.5 pips. For Black, I figured it was basically a stack and straggler pos but with a gap and with the homeboard checkers not as deep as they usually are. Trice's EPC formula for a S + S pos is 3.5 x # of checkers plus straggler's pip count which is 70.5. I then added 1.5 pips for the 5-pt gap and 4 more to account for the fact that Black currently has an average pip count per inner board checker of around 2.8 (Trice's formula says that when you have an even number of checkers with an aver pip count/checker of 2.8, your EPC is 4 higher than what it would be if they were all stacked on your 1 or 1 and 2-points.
