Duke Dmitry of Russia happens to be the first cousin of the last Russian King. Took part in the Olympic games 1912 - Stockholm in a horse riding discipline. Inventor of the Russian Spartakiad (annual 100 sports national competition similar to the Olympics on a national level) - I was carried on by the bolsheviks - not sure if it still exists. In the 1920s - he was a lover of Coco Chanel in Paris. She used his relationships and gained publicity for her famous Chanel 5 perfume. He brought the doubling cube in backgammon to the NY club from the French BG doubling cube fever he ignited.
