Maybe because you over-concentrate before rolling on one issue (here: being uneven on your last past pont), perhaps taking into account that you only have very few numbers that help you to close the ace.

Always be aware of what your really good rolls are, and the thing you'd really like to achieve - then when you roll your joker, you won't miss the play.
