Difference between rollouts B and C

The difference between rollouts B and C is the number of plies each performs before truncating a rollout. B uses 5 plies; C uses 7.

A “ply” is simply a turn (one roll). Rollout B looks ahead 5 rolls; rollout C, 7.

XGR++ uses 5 plies for checker plays and 7 plies for cube decisions. I recommend you try that yourself, at least for starters.
