2 away 2 away Score -- Idea

This would mean that a 7 point match would be longer on average by about 0.1 games.
It's not the (arithmetic) mean that's the problem, but the standard deviation. If everyone's match increased by 0.1 games, then fine. If one match in 20 increases 2 games then half the bracket is impacted.
A (seemingly more than actual) annoyance is to be playing ABT clocks-on-request (of either player) and have your (clocked) match end in plenty of time. You go over the bracket sheet, use the restroom, check out the equipment and books, grab a handful of pretzels at the directors' table, jaw with your friends,.... Then you go by a table and see your next opponent(s) at 2-away, 2-away (unclocked) and think "OK, should be last game". Then they piddle around, one loses the market, plays on for the G, and his opp rolls doubles on his last possible chance and saves gammon. Next (Crawford) game and the GG player acts like he's playing $-game or DMP. Bear off finishes and now it really is DMP -- another full game to decide the match.
OK, don't tell me I'm the only one who has experienced this (multiple times).
