I know of, from gammonlife to bkgm to scooping up Kit's site to buying URLs but I've never been contacted??

I'm pretty sure this has to do with GOL's longevity. Your site isn't the same in Google hits. Now, if you wanted to optimize it so that it started coming up on the first page when you searched for something like "backgammon online", I bet you'd see a lot more business interest.
