There are six positions diagrammed below. If you widen your window enough, you will see the diagrams side-by-side-by-side, in a 3x2 matrix.

Position 1 is the "original," Othello's Problem #4. (The margins in Othello's own rollout are similar: .097, .121, .185, .203 and .235.)

The other five positions are variants for which a single alternation has been made from the original: One checker (sometimes two or three) has been moved from one point to another.

The meta-result is six different best plays. Each position is a worthwhile study in its own right (the most interesting of which may be #6).
