Do you mean plenty of people would think there was something wrong with letting your opponent run his time out without prompting? Let me clarify. When I say "run his time out" I don't mean "running out of time on his clock" but rather allowing him to take as much time as he wants while his clock is running. If we're playing with a single pair of dice (which I believe is the norm with a clock?) I would not pick up the dice until my opponent hit his clock, indicating his move was final. I don't feel it is my place to presume to know when my opponent has finalized his decision. My opponent's clock management is not my business. If his time was on the verge of actually running out, I would alert him to that as a courtesy, but I wouldn't unequivocally condemn anyone who didn't. At what point do you alert him? Under 30 seconds? Under 10?
