The only legal play I found that could help to reach your position was Fan... And that does not help us much.

I think if you go back to the question whether it is theoretically possible to calculate the equity of the initial backgammon position for the player on roll, then it is important whether the undefined equity position can be reached legally AND with BEST play throughout. If not, the equity of the starting position does not depend on this undefined equity position.
