We lost another great player and friend

So sorry to report that the Backgammon world has lost another great player and friend. Greg Defotis, age 65, passed away yesterday in Chicago.

Greg was one of the best backgammon players in Chicago in the late 70's and returned to the game in the past few years to become a regular at the Chicago Barpoint Club.

Gregg was also a highly skilled chess and bridge player and a most successful stock trader. He had a brilliant mind and was always a fierce, fair, and fun competitor. I spent many hours with Greg in the old days at the Cavendish Club of Chicago. Condolences to his friends and family.
