It would be nice if the adjustments due to clarification are also explicitly pointed out.

I see that the phrase about a checker being explicitly hit has been removed. I agree with that change. I think the new rule could make some people upset though. Note that if you offset a possibly hit checker as the rules say, decide not to actually hit it, and then hit the clock without sliding it back down to the bottom of the point that the checker legally has actually been hit.

The differing opinions about the die being batted back onto the board suggest that "dice must never be manipulated" has an ambiguity that could be addressed.
