I think we first need to look at White's checker play strategy. Blue has 1s and 2s to play forever. 3s may be a problem, but White has to come off the 3 to make 3s a problem for Blue. If I am White, I wait until Blue has exactly 3 checkers on the 6 to come off the 3, then 65, 64, 63, 54, 53, 43 all leave at least double shots with possibly more shots to come if missed. White can take this, but it is not a huge take. Blue does not have 9 market losers, but this might be a Woolsey double because the take is reasonably close. My final answer--No double/Take. Blue should double when down to 2 checkers left on the 6.
