I think you are probably underestimating your chances when you fan. You have a potent prime and it makes it dangerous for your opponent to hit loose. If that is where you erred, I would suggest playing the game from that point a few dozen times, or more, until you get a feel for how often you win and how you win, which will increase your knowledge and understanding of such positions. I looked at the roll distribution and underestimated your chances somewhat after the fan. I probably need to do the exercise as well.
