In Response To: Typical double-aces, nothing to see here (Ian Terry)

These are the kinds of plays where I have no idea which way is up. I want white to enter so her board crashes against my anchors and I don't want to crunch my own board. I'm a bit short on timing so being hit again doesn't seem too bad. And at DMP, who cares about gammons?

bar/24 3/1 2/1 ? bar/24 3/1 3/2 ? bar/24 6//4 6/5 ?

The third option leaves no shots but gives white a chance to enter on the six and run around the board while mine crunches. I'd play this at GS and maybe for "normal" scores, but at DMP it seems to offer the least counterplay.

I like the middle play best since it leaves only one shot (which may or may not be the right idea) and it leaves the ace point open which is exactly where I want her.

bar/24 3/1 3/2
