This came from a casual game between me & Snowie and afterwards when I analyzed the session I was disappointed that I didn't even see the play. Once I saw it I was convinced of the 'bot genius' within. Running is out, not because you aren't ahead in the race (barely) or that it wouldn't be the right time otherwise. Your opponent has zilch as a board with a blot to boot but your main focus should be making your 5 pt. Making the 5 pt. with a centered cube pretty much assures you a powerful double, whether the old axiom 'almost all 3 pt. games are takes' holds true or not will be for your opponent to decide. Here you leave the blot because you have the anchor, if you're hit, fine, no big deal, your position w/that advanced anchor and all the ammo aiming at the 5 pt. is worth it tenfold IMO. The key is to recognize what you're trying to do and how freely you can play because of your advanced anchor and your opponent's lack of board.
