it is also interesting to reason out how the equities and actions differ at some key matchscore. At -4,-4 -4,-3 and -4,-2 is is ofcourse a pass, at -5,-5 i think the equities go up a little and it is probably a marginal take, and more generally if the leader at normal scores doubles the take becomes easier and if the trailer doubles it becomes smaller.

-3,-4 is a problematic score for me, one which i havent figured properly out. You have the conflicting features that the trailer has an unusually high takepoint which drives the equities a lot up in many positions with small gammon percentages, but on the other hand the gammons become a lot less valuable because the trailer often recubes them out of effect (he can be very aggressive with recubes) and also a gammon on a 1 cube is very valuable for the leader. I think probably it is a nodouble or at best a small double at that score. In a match i recently played i was leading -3,-4 and was doubling against a weak 1-4 backgame, one which was a big pass for money. But it turned out it was a huge nodouble (giving away 0,25 for doubling) but i made a quick check on gnu at a opening blitz at the score and it turned out it was a close decision there so im a little bit unsure what's the big difference between a backgame type position (high gammons, 30++ winning chances for trailer) and this one.
