In Response To: American Backgammon Association (Coolrey)

Many years ago I worked with Laila Leonhardt in an attempt to re-establish the KG ranking list. The software isn't the problem, neither is the data entry. The problem we ran into was gaining the support of tournament directors. Concerns were voiced about the impact on attendance for players with bad statistics. Now, I was aware it was probably possible to organize volunteers to collect the data independently, but in the end I decided that - as much as I as a player would like to see this data myself - it wasn't worth second-guessing the opinions of experienced directors who are dedicated to caring about things like attendance and gave up on the project.
