iPhone/iPod Touch for entering BG matches?

This is a question to those who record live matches. What do you think about the idea of using an iPhone (or an iPod Touch) to enter matches?

Possible advantages:

1. The iPhone is small, so it's easy to carry around. And you can stand up while recording.

2. The touch screen should make entering moves quite quick -- a touch on the "from" pile and a touch on the "to" pile for each move and you're done.

I mention this because I just bought a Mac. That means I can run the iPhone SDK and writing a backgammon match inputer sounds like a fun project.
