WSOB CANNES - event schedule

Hi, please note we have now published the event schedule for our tournament in Cannes, the first stop on the 2009 World Series of Backgammon.

All Suites in Cannes is now taking player bookings. Limited number of rooms at €135 inc breakfast and others at €155 inc breakfast. First come first served basis.

THE EVENT

You'll see a few changes to the traditional BG tourney. No consolation or last chance; in their place, new 'Second Chance', which will see the winner re-enter the main at the semi-final stage. The Last Chance is replaced with a 5 point shootout for a €10,000 WSOB Championship seat (exclusive to Championship flight players)

Championship will also see introduction of best of 3 x 7 point matches throughout.

Nations Cup is also happening so please email TD Eric Guedj and let us know if you 'intend' to enter a team. Eric will respond personally with details of the format. eg@worldseriesofbackgammon.com

We will also be debuting the 'Dual Discipline Poker v Backgammon Championship' which has a new format that we want to try out.
