Clocks in BG software ?

Some time ago we used to have a clock feature in gnubg. It was working fine as far as I can remember, but it has been removed in the context of code simplification (possibly it was also in conflict with multi-thread code).

I wasn't realy happy about this but I knew nobody using it, hence no argument.

Do you think that having this in gnubg could help spread clock-awareness and/or reduce cases of clockfobia ?
