Frustration with the many in MC side events who don't come back to play at 10;30 after dinner break

I seem to be encountering this for all side events.

How difficult is it for someone to read the schedule and to realize that they play the winner of the pre-dinner match, right when the 2.5 hour long dinner break ends?

I will play fewer side events here in MC next year unless something changes in this regard.

I also will NEVER play even a single game of doubles unclocked. Our 1st round opps talked their way to BK with several 10 to as much as 15 minute discussions of two plays that Stick and I would've "nexted" and a third that basically didn't matter.
