On October 23rd, 2002, I wrote an article for Gammon Village entitled "Seeing Stars," which opened with a giant wrestler jumping over me to get to his seat on my flight to Japan, and ended nine pages later with this:

"A couple of years ago I autographed one of my books for Mochy, and called him a “Champion of Tomorrow!” This wasn’t a case of an author getting carried away with an inscription, I came back to the US and told people I was expecting big things from him. I was right. Mochy Mochizuki and Michy Kageyama have written the first Japanese language backgammon book (The Backgammon Book), and they gave me their autographs."

Congratulations, Mochy! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
