How to improve your game

Practice makes perfect.
But what to practice and how to practice is the big question.
You can improve your game by playing a lot, by discussing positions with good players, by reading books and by consulting your bot.
What areas of the game should one pay most attention to?
- The opening is obviously very important since it happens in every game and it decides the nature of the game. I guess we all find this area pretty vital.
- Should one study holding games more than other position types, since most games evolve into some kind of holding game?
- Or should one look at priming games because this is where you rate to make the biggest errors?
- Maybe backgames is where you can achieve the biggest edge over the average opposition?
What are your thoughts on what aspects of the game to study in order to optimize your practice?
Is it better to roll positions out for days until statsig or is it good enough to "miniroll" and then have time to do more positions?
