The proper and fair way to advance two from a bracket of 4

This comes from Chris Yep who got it from something done in international baseball I believe and it gets rid of tie break BS.

Round 1 results in 2 winners and two losers.

Round 2 the two winners play each other and the winner advances. The two losers also play each other and the loser is out.

Round 3, the two 1-1's play each other and the winner advances.

Simple fair, and no dreaded tie break BS like we had at WSOB in teams.
