Why don't people post things like this about American tournaments?

I think it is unfair to categorise European tournaments as less 'gentlemanly'!

Simply put when you have large pots of money available somebody is going to try to cheat. It is a sad fact of life. The only time I have experienced cheating at the poker table was at Caesars Palace in Vegas. Two Vietnamese ladies at my table were clearly signalling to each other the relative strengths of their hand. I drew it to the dealer's attention and it stopped. But on the basis of what I read here I could assume all poker games in Vegas are full of cheaters!

I heard a story last year of a US based backgammon player's board starting to smoke during a game. Maybe somebody could confirm if it was an urban myth or true.
