In Response To: An Open Letter to SHG Players (W Womack)

I have never been to SHG, but if someone are complaining about the dice because they now roll doubles 16.x% of the time instead of 9.y% of the time like they were used to, they can safely be ignored. I am a mathematician by trade (although not so much in statistics), but I can confidently say that the analysis about the doubles that you and Michael Petch did was fine. I think the lack of arguments in the comments about the data being 'crap', but 'has better things to do with his time than look at the data' confirms there is nothing wrong with your methods. If the complaint is about there being too many runs of consecutive doubles, the frequencies of such events can be tested too. In any case it's a bit silly to blame _you_ for the dice produced at SHG.
