I agree with you completely that the only way this would work is if you had it for a room or rooms. What amazes me is the mentality of many of the madhouse players and their main host that they should be able to have whatever dice they like and still call the game "backgammon." Maybe we could try those dodecahedral dice used for roll playing games -- mmm I wonder how you should play an opening 11-9? Coming in off the bar and bearing off would be bit difficult I guess, unless of course we used the whole side of the board for that.LOL.

I guess I don't have a problem with SHG providing a room or rooms with cooked dice as long as everyone knows that, but I think have a problem with calling the game played in those rooms backgammon.
