Propositions:

1. An online site should operate with the same integrity and regard for its patrons as an in-person backgammon club or card room.

2. Most backgammon players don't play for money.

3. Most backgammon players who play for money don't make money.

4. Most backgammon players who play for money don't play to make money.

Which leads me to my opinion on online ratings. YMMV.
