The bonus 'requirments' are in place to make sure that the site doesn't actually lose money... lol ...

In actuality, someone who fulfills only the minimum bonus requirements often ends up costing the site a little bit of money, or perhaps ends up as a break-even proposition. This is why people who make a practice of "bonus whoring" (shopping for attractive bonuses and playing only the minimum required to collect them) often end up getting blacklisted; the sites offer bonuses in hopes of attracting regular customers, not people who only care about the bonus.

That's not even close to an excuse for refusing to pay out the bonus altogether, of course. I assume everyone is familiar with the concept of a "loss leader" in retail - a store advertises a product at such a deep discount they're actually taking a loss, but they know that by drawing lots of people into the store, some of them will end up buying a lot more than just that one product, thus making them money.

Now imagine standing at the cash register with your purchase in hand, only to be told by the cashier, "Sorry, if all you're interested in purchasing is the loss leader, we don't want your business after all!" This would be ridiculous, and of course illegal. Yet that's exactly what play65 is doing. (But gee, you're a prima donna if you don't give them the benefit of the doubt for at least another month.)
