Exactly the reason for the problem and note that while "adjusting" the player was pulling the dice towards him like he was picking them up. Who's to say that he didn't actually lift one a mm above the board or not? I really can't fault the opp for rolling in this situation and will note that it was a non contact situation wasn't it.

Re: moving dice away from the checker(s) to be moved. Most of us do this one die at a time and without making it look like we are picking them up and we also do it before we moved both checkers... ie our opp really should be not be missreading our attentions.

If someone decided to move the dice later, just say "adjust" as is done in chess.

.. neilkaz ..noting that BG is supposed to be a gentlemans' game but the way some of the rules are written or interpretted can make it difficult.
