Jim, It's too early to tell whether I'll adopt Naccel 2. I'm reasonable at Cluster Counting, and it's taken some effort to become so. Nack highlights the need for practice, which I think is essential for proficiency in any method. One thing in favour of CC is that it produces a "natural" result, so it is easier to explain.

I'm a sucker for clever tricks and techniques, so I'll probably experiment for a while before I make up my mind. Nack hasn't yet revealed the whole scheme, so for cube decisions I would still have to convert to a full pipcount. It's also a concern that once there are lots of men on the home board you have to start subtracting, but this could easily succumb to practice.

Or maybe I'll use a hybrid. Maybe I'll find that some patterns scream to be counted one way or another.
