This position is gammonless. But it should help show that cubeless numbers are not worthless.
Money game. Blue on roll, cube decision?
White 5
Blue 7 Position ID: EQAAEAEAAAAAAA Match ID: UQkAAAAAAAAA
A cubeful rollout will tell me that Blue wins 61.90% cubeless, has cubeless equity of +0.238, cubeful ND equity of +0.239, and cubeful D/T equity of +0.111.
Hasn't the bot told me all I need to know? First, it's told me the cubeless win percentage, a useful fact, because it is intrinsic to the position regardless of cube position and action. Second, it's told me that ND equity is higher than D/T equity, so the correct cube action is ND.
In other words, in this position Blue wins 61.9% cubeless but doesn't have a redouble. Without referencing the cubeless win percentage, how else would I describe it?
And do I really need to also know that with the cube in play Blue wins 61.96% after ND and 52.77% after D/T? But note that if I do want to know these numbers, I can calculate them both (including the obvious 52.77%) from the cubeful equities the bot has given me.
