5/off. One checker off gains a whole roll for us and we leave no more shots.

5/*4 5/1 takes away 4 pips from Stick so we gain about half a roll even if he enters, and a whole roll if he fans, a 25% chance. But if he fans we give him yet another shot if we roll 6-5 6-4 6-3 5-4 5-3 4-3. So this ought not to be a close call -- 5/4* 5/1 gets hit 0.25 * 10/36 * 11/36 = about 2% more often.
