The gammon is so unlikely anyway that 5/4*/0 can't be worth the two extra shots. Between 5/1/0 and 5/4* 5/1 I think the checker off is worth more than the 4 pips we set Stick back - it also has worth if we're hit and get to enter before doubled. Hitting is also a two edged sword, as it really isn't that nice if Stick dances, as we may then blot again.
