And for Practice Position #2
Blue
Six prime = -5(2), splitting spares from the S0 2 pips either way.
Outer board = 2(1)
Total = -3(3)White
Fill in the six prime from n-1 for -5(5).
Add (4) for the outside points.
Total = -5(9) or -4(3)Let's have a crack at the Nack 57 rule while we're here.
Blue's count of -3(3) = -15.
Plus 57 = 42, and double for 84.
Nearest integer square root is 9, so that's the point of last take.Blue leads by six pips, which should be an initial double in an efficient race. In this position Blue has an extra man on the ace that I'd penalize 1/2 a pip. Otherwise, White has fractionally worse distribution, but not even 1/2 a pip's worth to my eye. I'm calling a marginal No Double/Take.
