The bkgm.com domain is registerd to Tom Keith. Tom's always been up front about Play65's sponsorship of Backgammon Galore, as it has since 2005 or 2004, I believe. For instance:

• on Backgammon Galore's page that lists internet backgammon sites, http://www.bkgm.com/servers.html, the Play65 listing is color-highlighted and identified as a "sponsored link."

• on the page containing Tom's September 2005 review of Play65, http://www.bkgm.com/articles/Review/Play65/index.html, Tom's review begins:

  "Play65 advertises on Backgammon Galore. They asked if I would try out their backgammon play site. I did, quite enjoyed it, and now I play there regularly. This article is an overview of my experiences at Play65 and some thoughts on what's good and not so good about the site."

There's quite the contrast between Tom's honest acknowledgement of Play65's sponsorship of Backgammon Galore, and what you won't see on the Play65/GammonEmpire shill site, backgammon.org, which unfactually claims to be "the largest, most comprehensive and most interactive Backgammon source online."

For example, Backgammon.org's page http://www.backgammon.org/backgammon-reviews/ has links to negative reviews of GamesGrid, BGRoom, BackgammonMasters, and PartyGammon. The one positive review is of Play65 ("Play 65 rates extremely highly as befits one of the leading sites in the world"). Yet no where on the backgammon.org site will you see any acknowledgement that Play65 or GammonEmpire or Interlogic sponsors (or owns, who knows?) backgammon.org, though one might guess from the onslaught of flashing ads for Play65 and GammonEmpire.

Tom's May 30 post in GEoL is worth a read: http://www.gammonline.com/members/board/config.cgi?read=148292. What Kit's announcement and Play65's response (if any) to Tom's questions mean for Play65's sponsorship of Backgammon Galore remain to be seen.
