Is anyone else having issues trying to reserve a room for San Fran?

I called yesterday to reserve a room for the US Open and the hotel told me that the block of rooms at the $99 price is allready sold out. Brochure says deadline is Apr 31..so I wonder what's up.

Note that this happens almost half the time I try to reserve a room for ANY American tourney.
