A goodly sized error to turn the cube here, which is what I did OTB. White doesn't win quite as often as I expected and his gammon threat is serious, but not enormous. I note, now, that he has only nine checkers in the zone -- only one more than in the starting position -- and most of them are already committed. I can see how that will often make it difficult to sustain an attack, giving Black opportunities to put something together.
